Chapter Nine: Texas Love
We just returned from a wonderful trip to the great state of Texas. We laughed, we cried, we bled, we drove, we flew, we ate, we drank, we swam, we surfed, we sailed-and that barely covers it all. We visited Corpus Christi, my home town, Port Aransas, Wimberly and Austin. We saw lots of old friends and lots of family. I am not gonna lie, it is always very difficult for me to leave. I did miss our home here in Marietta and our dogs (the most), but I have some pretty serious Texas pride.
I took many images while I was in Texas and have posted my favorites in the Texas Limited Editions portion of the shop. The prices are a little higher, but the quantity is much smaller. I will have them for sale here throughout the summer. They are special to me and were taken at some of my very favorite spaces.
I took the super super camera with me, also known as the Canon 5D Mark II. Once I sort of got a hang of it I just wanted to put it down and get back to my life source-my iPhone 5. I don't mean to simplify things, but then maybe I do. As I grow more interested in the super super, I will try it out again. Until then I will continue to document my flowers with my phone. Some people think I am not a photographer. At the end of the day, I am an artist with a vision. And this is how I capture it best.
